This song was originally meant to be an interlude on the forthcoming Mykki Blanco album that Mykki has been recording over the last few years with FaltyDL. While working on this track, Mykki reached out to Devendra asking if he would like to contribute to the interlude. A few days later vocals, guitar parts and hand chimes were in FaltyDL’s inbox. Eventually the decision was made to build out the track properly and FaltyDL notes, “Mykki rapped and proclaimed her parts over the next two days in the studio with ease. I’ll never get tired of watching Mykki write lyrics on the spot in their notepad. Little giggles, ah-ha moments, just pure excitement and imagination. To be honest, it’s almost jazz the way we work - off the cuff - first thought is right, don’t overthink it - feel it.” Mykki notes, “I wanted to make a song with Devendra. I wanted to make a song with one of my heroes just like a few years ago when I made a song with Kathleen Hanna. I had met him a few times now playing the same festivals in Europe and he was just open and it felt like a full circle moment. I could honestly say a lot about this song - I mean Devendra not only sings on the record, but he plays. He's not just a feature, he is now in the blood of the song, he's a part of the composition. It felt right to release this song now, I felt like I had this capsule of really good energy and I needed to release it now and not wait but let the vibe be felt now in this really anxious moment - so it can feel like a light hearted mini mediation amidst all the current noise.”

You need to find it.
You need to find it.

Oh, show it all to me
Oh, let it all just be
Oh, show it all to me
Oh, let it all just be

I lit that sage, I lit that sage, I lit that Palo Santo
Lady Gaga on my radio, it's Alejandro
These pussycats be talking shit then jumping at they shadows
You don't gotta be so macho, but you love to hit my spot so
My prayers and my blessings, I know that God be testing
Can you handle da pressure? My G you up to the measure?
Lit with the shits, can you hang with a hot girl?
Tiny weenie peenie, they don't got a place in my world
ride that dick like a rodeo rockstar
choppa go, click click, banging like mobstar

I'm not saying that your love is not enough for me
But you gotta bring that bread home if you cuffing me
Kama Sutra when we fucking lay it spiritually
Alice Coltrane and some ganja yeah that's all I need

All Hail, her highness, La Dona Blanco
I see some fakes, they got some needs
GofundMe with your problems

Guess I run a non profit?
It's profit when I'm talking
it's prophecy she's speaking
Mink lashes when she's blinking

Feeling spooked so what's the tea sis?
Why y'all acting so suspicious?
In this life you get 3 wishes
on my third, it is auspicious

Betty Rubble, Snow White
Little Miss Too Trife
Little Miss Too Nice
and she don't miss twice

You need to find it.
You need to find it.
You need to find it.

Oh, show it all to me
Oh, let it all just be
Oh, show it all to me
Oh, let it all just be

You need to find it
You need to find it

Oh, show it all to me
Oh, let it all just be
Oh, show it all to me
Oh, let it all just be

You need to find it

Mykki Blanco Los Angeles, California

It's been just over a decade since ‘Mykki Blanco’ was created — first as a video art project portraying a teen female character (inspired by Lil Kim’s ‘Kimmy Blanco’ alter ego), but it inevitably evolved into a vehicle of self-discovery in the artist’s journey of forming their self-identity. They recently signed with Transgressive Records and “Free Ride” is the first taste of their next chapter. ... more
